Did you go to a trucking school? They require so many hours of trucking school. They have been a training company for quite some time. Could be they didn't want trainees out of your area at that time or something.

TMC doesn't hire south of I-10. Besides, I was under the impression that flatbedding is not a team sport.

What's up my man. I'm seriously looking at FFE myself. As far as teaming goes, I have been concerned about being teamed with someone after driving school since you never know who you are gonna get. I'd imagine teaming with your father would be a great situation!

Hey "BigTrill" I hear ya about FFE, I said the same thing about not knowing who you're gonna be stuck with. There's some crazy people out there ! lol I use to go over the road with my dad when I was younger and the only time I was able to sleep going down the road was with him till this day if I go on a trip if he is'nt there driving I can't sleep at all. I was looking around at Stevens,Swift and Werner but out of those 3 FFE's program looks to be the best. My dad as of right now works for Super Service and is not all that happy with them and had an offer come up from RWH trucking in North Georgia and he may end up transferring over to them here pretty soon.So I just told him that I'll get my experience with FFE and once the contract has run out I may end up heading over to RWH with him and run teams or whatever they have to offer. Not sure what their outfits is all about, hav'nt looked into them yet. I'm hoping to be at FFE's school in about a month or so just trying to get things at home squared away first...

If he was'nt a driver I would definately go solo myself, but teaming up with someone is where the miles and money is along as you're with a decent company. If you decide to run teams hopefully you'll get someone you can get along with and is a safe driver. You have to have alot of trust in someone when you're in that sleeper snoozing while going down the road...

I work for Roehl and dont have a passport. They wanted you to get it and pay for it actually but I personally dont want to go to Canada ever so I never got one and never was pressured to do so.

Hey "Hootie" I have my sights set on FFE due to the fact they hire from Florida I see their trucks all the time down here I believe they have a terminal in Miami,WinterHaven and Ocala and they offer company sponsored training completely free as long as you work for them for a year under contract. They have a really nice training facility plus it's in Texas,Fort Worth I believe which is a plus for me so I'm not going cross country just to go to a school. I'll hop on a greydog and be there in 26hours. I don't do plane rides well lol. I also know Werner,Stevens,CRST,Swift,HeartLand Express and Roehl (Rail) Hire outta Florida. If you're not sure about a certain company go on Google and type in the companies name and then type in Hiring area or map most of the companies have a map showing where they hire out of.

Oh yeah, sleeping with the truck moving was a major issue for me. It's all about trust ... And that can take awhile
