Military will let anyone in. You just don't get any of the benefits you hear about.

    RollTide85 and CenutryClass Thank this.

There are lots of ex-cons in trucking. They just seem to gravitate towards it.

Maybe. But you wanna know what the difference between 99% of convicted people and everyone else is.

    They got caught.

    That's really great advice.
Like, ones will alone can change the way things really are.

    Sorry, but you can't.

That's like saying that you can lift 2,000 pounds above your head - by determination and will power.

    Get a clue.

I have a felony. It is on here somewhere. It never held me back and being a felon can actually help. I spent 8 months in prison so I can team with just about anyone. I met folks in prison, so I don't put up with a lot from dispatch. I don't talk to cops and I have a good lawyer so my tickets never appear on my record. And cheap freight? Too cheap and it may fall off the truck.

Most felonies are just someone's opinion. Mine was finally overturned, but I am proud of who I am and that time in my life helped make me me. Don't let your felony stop you.

It's views like this that make it where when people do try to restart and do the right thing they can't. There's leaders and followers. Now we know what you are.

I plead guilty under first offender act for a felony last year. No conviction on my record just the plea shows up till I'm done with probo next year. But can't get any calls back or they all tell me felonies have to be 5-10 years old. I was told try Carolina cargo but good luck getting in touch with them their email address doesn't work and you can't get past the recording if you call. I think my next best bet is to just check out some truck stops for job listings.
Can't find any companies that accept recent grads that don't have a felony policy. Might have to wait a year cough up a grand for a refresher course, then not have #### on my record and nothing to claim. Hate having to wait though man I'd like to start now but recruiters act like I'm a murderous child killer over some bs assault charge last year I got in a fight with a drunk friend... It's ok though got all my endorsements and I'm gonna try to get in some diesel mechanics training in the mean time and stay out of any more trouble.
