Well, the quickest responses and the ones that matter (NO BS / NO GUESSING) are going to be coming from the companies. The electronic shotgun applications would probably be the first step. They always have the "Have you ever been convicted of a Felony / Misdemeanor in X amount of time". I like the discussion forums, but they really are not the best place for who will and will not hire people.
Looking for a school with an old felony on my record...

If you work for them for 2 years, the loan for school is free, the school isn't paid training, but when you are out with your mentor, it is (not by mile, but by day). They may overlook that conviction being so long ago, all you have to do is ask. They are based in Phoenix, AZ, but you don't necessarily have to be based out of this state. You might hear bad things about Swift, but trust me, there is much, much worse. I wish I would have never left that company and I am thinking about going back to them, because I did leave on good terms. I believe they have a school in Memphis, TN as well, but not sure. I hope this information helps you, but before you fill out the application, talk to a recruiter. Swift has a pretty high turnover rate (don't know why, my experience was great) so maybe your chances will be better. I know you can get the number yourself, but to make it easier 800-800-2200. Once again, I hope this helps, if you already haven't tried them. Good luck to you.

if you have only one felony and it is your first, why not petition to have it expunged? unless you have been in trouble since, you should be able to have your record expunged which basically makes it as if it never happened.

I was on parole when I went to school. It was not a company sponsored school. It was a community college. Fort Scott Community College in Kansas City, KS (nod out to the school). I am sure there is a place in Conn where you could get funding.

When I was on parole, I was not allowed to leave Missouri. So, I violated my parole by crossing the state line everyday going to school. Don't let anything stop you from doing what is "right", even the law. I am sure any "harm" a drunk caused a girl by flashing her is nearly forgotten in 20 years. Unless she spent 20 years talking to folks who tell her how damaged she is.RoughRoad Thanks this. -
