You already CAN do that with a friendly salute to let them know they are #1..... -
LOL, to be honest I "normally" have very few or no problems with the actual scale/dot guys. But in the last couple of weeks the people at the state/ federal office level have been raising my blood presure exponentionally.

Awful quiet in here

Maybe the Scalemaster is on holiday?
Cannot be that there are no more stupid drivers out there. -
I know dieselbear left the thread because of the "anti-government" idiots that decide to bring their political b.s. in with them. Scalemaster posts stuff now and then, maybe he's been really busy with the increasing amount of morons on the road.

Hey wait,, that sometimes might apply to me? -
Lets see... recent stupidity....
Lots of HM stupidity recently. Missing placards, wrong placards, no placards, no bills, etc. Guy last week had a bunch of propane cylinders rolling around loose in the back of his trailer. One guy had a trailer load of totes with various HM, no nothing (bills, half the placards missing, wrong labelling, no HM endorsement...no log book, did not stop at scale...).
On a recent hot day (105 I think) had a trailer tire blow out on the scale! BLAM! Right in front of me.
On a night shift recently had a couple of OD loads traveling after dark, way after dark. They were not happy when I yanked their permits.
Several drivers hauled off to jail because they had outstanding warrants. Most because they got a ticket and turned it over to the company to pay, and the company did not.
OK, stupid.... Girl gets a court protection order against boyfriend. Later, girl and boy kiss and make up. Girl goes with boy for a ride across country in his big rig. They get stopped at the scale, license checked - protection order still in force! Girl never had the order dropped. Girlfriend in shotgun seat. Boyfriend in handcuffs going to jail. Girlfriend in tears watching boyfriend being hauled off, stranded waiting for a ride out of here.Giggles the Original, TheRoadWarrior, Nightfall and 1 other person Thank this. -
That's ripe right there. -
I have seen quite a few OD loads traveling well after dark lately. Do some of them not have time restraints on them, based on dimensions of the load?
