First off, while with the trainer you will be getting paid $50 per day, $350 per week gross.

The 26 cpm start when you go solo.

You will see the east coast more than the west coast. More freight that way. Miles 2000 to 3000 per week, depends on freight, and your reputation with the dispatchers, and on time delivery and communication when you are not on time.

    average expense, $900 per week.
All Stevens trucks have APUs, company and lease.
You must be joking, major pick up points in Kansas, Holcomb, Dodge City, Liberal.

But you will make good money running the meat lanes to the East. It was always consistent when I ran, load up in Iowa or Illinois, head to New York or NJ, drop. Deadhead to PA for a Hershey load, run to Chicago, drop and hook and empty and go back to a meat plant.

West is nice if you didn't mind sitting at the Ontario TA's for a day or two while you wait for a dispatch.

In my two years I only picked up twice in Kansas. Holcomb and Emporia. The rest of the time, it was always Dakota City, NE, Joslyn, IL, the pork plants in IA and IN and of course, the plant in Amarillo, TX

and I just quit is true, after 4 1/2 years with stevens to be home more.

And I made good money running from the 3 plants in Kansas, to NJ NY, then a load to texas, back to denver or cheyenne, and back to the meat patch. Was only home every 6 to 8 weeks.

No, I am not a recruiter. I tell it how it is.
I was a driver with Stevens for just over 4 years, then moved inside the operations center this week due to my wife's health.
Everytime someone says something that a person doesn't like, whether at Stevens or any other company, the first thing the poster tries do do is disparage the person by calling them a recruiter.
    Get a life!
