I have some from him, some from other drivers, he hasn't even took me across a cat scale. I know what you mean about teams, the recruiter said that that wasn't the way it was. They pushed the whole you sleep while he sleeps, how can you learn anything if your trainers asleep. That was crap I find my self driving all night and then sitting in line and getting unloaded before I can lay down. I've pulled several 16, 18 hour days. I just don't feel like I'm being trained.

if you are worried that you might have a problem, then go see a doctor before going. then, just to be safe, i would avoid all caffeine and sugar for 10 hours prior to the physical. drink water or diet drinks, and have nothing but protein to eat, such as eggs and meat. follow that routine and unless your a borderline diabetic, you should be good to go as far as the urine screen for sugar.

Im sorry guy. My trainer was the same way. Tell me his 1st name.....as for the cat scale, that is a VERY IMPORTANT "TOOL" to use out here. Real easy to use. I had to help a new TMC driver the other day too, he said it was his 1st time. I use the scale as an "excuse" to get a shower. Listen, your done loading, go scale the load and get a shower while your there. If theres anything I can do to help, just ask. Id take you as a student, but Im not a trainer, AND Im a clean freak.

Alrighty.....its update time. Not a whole lot to post today, but I dont want yall to think Ive fell off the face of the planet. I arrived at consignee and finally got that Birmingham steel off my deck!! Its been there since Thursday last week! Anyhow, then I bounce down to Bennetsville,s. To pick up some pboard to take to Glasgow,ky. Of course I got detained at the shipper, but only 4 1/2 hrs this time. So I get loaded, secure, and tarp my load sweating like an animal the whole time. I get down, take my coveralls off and head to the closest cat scale. Of course while Im there Im gonna grab a shower. Oops, ran out of time while there. Notify night dispatch that due to detention I wont make the 1200 appointment. He replies and asks "why did you leave shipper? You could have taken your 10 hr there?" I replied to scale the load, to shower, to eat a hot meal, and to try to get closer to the consignee before my clock stops. He comes back with..." you should have stayed here, used the detention as part of your 10 break, then leave like around midnight and have plenty time to make your appointment."
Is this for real?? If I do that.. when do I #1 shower #2 eat #3 SLEEP?? I wonder is this what TMC wants or just what he wants? Id really appreciate yalls input on this. Have I been doing it wrong my whole time here?

Sounds right to me. Log line 4 for loading from the time you arrived for 15 minutes or a half hour. Take your 10, then go scale, shower, etc, then press on. No worries.

Tuner you need to tell your cordinator. He has no right to be training.
Blind, I do that sometimes depending on how I feel. I didnt shower tonight but oh well. I know right where you loaded. They are slow and ive been stuck there multiple times out of hours. Night dispatch dosnt know jack from jack so dont listen to them.

This is what I'm talking about with flatbed. "Only 4 1/2 hrs", no time to shower, should have stayed at the shipper, soaked, hungry, and needing a shower.
You guys should be getting $1500 / week for what you do. I think many of you put up with this just to drive a Pete.
