I have been to maybe 30 Walmart DCs over the last 2 years. I have seen some wifi signals there but they either are other drivers using devices they brought in or the wireless is not for the drivers and you need a password to access it.
TRKRSHONEY Thanks this. -
Walmart offer free wi-fi???? You must be new!! LOL Walmart is one of the very WORST places we deliver to. Arrival time is counted from when you check-in at window, not at the gate, and if they leave you standing at the window for 20-30 min while they 'finish up other paperwork', talk among themselves, or chat on the phone--"sorry, you're late, you were supposed to be here 10 min ago". Plus the paperwork is ALWAYS time-stamped that they finished within the allotted 2 hours, but it may take an additional hour to an hour and a half for your paperwork to be available. Another case of greed among 2nd generation company owners!!

The fact that Walmart offers free bathrooms to drivers is amazing. These pricks make like $5,000,000 a day off of us delivering there. That's just delivering. Lol. If they could find a way, Walmart would charge you to park while getting unloaded.

lets not give them any ideas joseph! lol

Everyone has good days and bad days even the inbound traffic folks,I highly doubt this type of negative experience is repeated on a daily basis. The one exception could be a DC that is operated by a third party. -
In an effort to see where you are in the game lets say Walmart actually instituted a policy where they charged you to park while unloading. This is something which I can almost guarantee you will never happen,we make money by offering our customers what they want at the best price possible. We leave the making money by screwing drivers to other areas of this business like brokers or companies that offer lease purchase programs.
You as a professional operator that knows how to run his business would actually have a few choices available. You could if your an owner operator build that cost into the rate you negotiate with your company or broker, you could pay the fee and write it off as a business expense or you could refuse to do business with the largest retailer in the world. The choice is yours,we appreciate what you do but if you you choose to move on there are trucks operated by professional business owners lined up for miles that would love a chance to partner with us.
If your a company driver you could refuse to deliver to Walmart DC's,we know where that will get you. You also have the option to find another company one that dosent have any dealings with Walmart. -

Very good response! Only you know that these whining steering wheel holders don't have the guts or ambition to help themselves. A Lot of em are ex cons working for 25-30cents a mile that can't get a decent job!
