Quite frankly Mark, having to make sure I run dang near everything as an administrator is one of thee most annoying aspects of Windows 7. If that's one of the little things that drive one nuts, I heartily agree.

Still liking the 720. Just wanted to confirm if the issue with the 720 and the traffic receiver is known by the Rand engineers and is currently being addressed. It's a pain to have to unplug the traffic receiver for awhile in order to correct this (and impossible to do while driving). Sometimes it gives out after a scant hour or so, sometimes it works for days (but only when we have the trucked parked during home time, defeating the purpose).

Yes, the issue is still there and yes Rand is trying to resolve the issue. It is a matter of hardware/software communications.

    Thanks,

What happens if you just leave it off for awhile and unplugged?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Regarding the exit guide on the map page. Noticed it was static, meaning the up coming exits won't refresh until the guide is closed then reopened. Wonder if this can be updated to refresh automatically while open.

It is a static list pulled from different data when calculating a route.

Just a quick question. I am still using my 510 with great success. The question I have is about updating. I have not updated my 510 for quite awhile now (probably about 6-10 months). I have had no problems and any stop I asked for has worked great. Even a trip from Maryland to S. Dakota was no problem. Is there anything I am missing out on or any real reason to update, or should I wait until new map updates come out. Just seems like if no problem leave alone. Thanks

The update is for the software program that the 510 uses, not the maps. A few updates have gone out to correct issues in the code for some parts of the program. It is best to always update to get the latest fixes.

    Thanks,
    Mark
