I would suggest going through an independent school to get your CDL if you can.

there is no easy answer for that one. you have to do your homework and choose the one thats best for you.if you go with a private school, make sure there is a guaranteed placement for your first job.otherwise, all the others will get you set up,then you are their slave for 1-2 years.either way,get-rr-done...good luck

The Community College route is the one I always recommend. You get college credit for it that can be used if you change your mind later on.

As to staying in shape, most truckers fall a little bit short on that issue. You can run, walk, bike, do sit ups, anything you want but really we just want to sleep.

I get on criagslist and try to find a girlfriend in every town I can. Been doing that for 7 years now. Not found yet but I am still hopeful.

those big companies are the worst jobs around. and i stay fit by running 5 miles at malls, or in the desert, or on trails. load up on a half-gallon sugary Pepsi every time you stop and you're gonna be shopping at realllllllllybigandtall.com

the best way is to get a gas grill and have a fridge in your truck if at all possible. that will save you a TON of money and be much healthier as well. limit your carb intake. sugar drinks = straight carbs. drivers need to maintain a high protein diet. if you must have soft drinks, drink diet ones. we all know water is the best though.
