That depends how fast over the posted speed limit you were going if it would affect your cdl or not.15 or over would be a wreckless charge.Also it depends how many tickets prior to this one you have on your mvr.What do you mean by the damage you done,what damage?I just seen where you said you were going 15 mph over,so with that I suggest finding something else other then trucking.

 

You must notify your employer after you are CONVICTED of a traffic offense.

I'd go to court, get it handled, and then wait until the 30th day to send notification via certified mail, return receipt requested.

 

You do have some options... but it will require some calling. Whom issued the ticket? Was it the state or city or county? If it was the city or county... You could call the county seat and see if they offer any driver courses... Typically they charge you, what the issued ticket is written for, then you take the class... usually one nite and the ticket goes bye bye... If it is the state, they usually don't offer this kind of deal... but you could call the DA's office and ask for options... Be nice and explain your situation... They may reduce the charge and make you pay the same rate out of court.... or offer some CDL defensive driving courses.... which may cost a bit more... but when completed the ticket again goes bye bye.

They do it all the time. It just shows you it's about revenue. When it's the city or county it really happens cause THEY get the $$$. Just sayin'

Its one ticket. We are human and all make mistakes. Not then end of the world
