Well this week was not one that was good for fuel mileage. Had to go back to the Philadelphia area. That run across the mountains just kills the fuel mileage. I would rather go back and forth across WV any time. I also had some tight delivery and pick up times that caused me to have to go the speed limit.
Hopefully next week I can get back to my relaxed driving.
I am sitting mt so that means that I will already be starting out in the hole...but this week was over 2600 so you have to just average it out. Hopefully steel will start moving again.

Well steel is really moving for the division that I am in, Jim. I have had three consecutive record mileage weeks and averaging 6-8 loads per week lately. We have been very very busy in PLD. Sewerman, chime in here on what your division is experiencing...

Well the US steel division is no longer it ended in July. Which I would have say still wearing a black armband LOL. In the past six weeks or so I've only been on the US steel for maybe a week or two been filling in for other drivers on other divisions.

For the past week I have been playing guinea pig for maverick on some new dedicated work that they are putting together. All I have to say it has been very interesting. We are getting the problems worked out for the equipment that we need to do that with. Been running some permit loads with 60,000 pounds aluminum ingots. This week of changing over to a different trailer that I think will work for whole lot better for all the different material that I need to run doing the triangle.

When we get it all worked out and running I will tell you more about right now it's all in experimental mode.

Have a great weekend, drive safe and enjoy the ride.

    jxu417 and JimTheHut Thank this.

I was going to try to come up with an architectural design and post it on here- perhaps advertise- my new invention, the "Maverick Its Too #### Hot Flatbedders Back-Mounted Shade Umbrella and Hydration System." I am going to be a very rich man!!
