I was not bragging driver. I could careless I'm just another driver out here doing what we all do. I was reminding AT that he is talented and that he is young and will be alright. My post was not about me, or you. I'm not seeking attention are you?

Thank you :) There is nothing anyone can say or do to me that could hurt me like I have already been hurt. I use it as fuel for my fire, I push harder down that road when they say I cant. Thank you for the support.

I thought the hardest pain I would ever suffer would be the day my father passed. My father is my hero and as he got older that scared me more and more.

I was coming up Sherman Pass in the middle of a blizzard when I got a 911 phone call from my mother that my house was on fire, and my son was trapped inside. You want to talk about feeling powerless??? Nothing could ever hurt me like that again, nothing! My father the year after on the anniversary of my sons death had a massive stroke. He was a 40+ driver with a perfect record, that was his last trip. He did manage to get his truck pulled over with out hurting anyone else. The rest is a long story I would rather not talk about right now. however, when that had happened I changed my life, I have a healthy diet, don't smoke. I work out 5/6 days a week and refuse to let this beat me down.

Everything I have ever got or accomplished in my life I worked hard for. No one has ever given me anything, ever! I had everything I have ever cared for taken from me, more then once. Believe me I hope you have not or will never have too live with the pain I have had to deal with in my life.

Look... I have been beaten, stabbed, shot. My son has been murdered, I have lost my family to drugs and disease. The DEVIL ain't got %$#@ else he can take from me, what you gonna do? know what I'm sayin?

You cannot play on my feelings easy, but I know where you are coming from.

I lost my son a few years ago to a bombing in Iraq, after deciding to serve his country post 9/11. Whatever you do to ease the pain works then it is understood by me completely, as a father who lost his son also please accept my deepest condolences.

The jury is still out on if I'm crazy or not! LOL some might say I have always been. You need to be a little crazy to continue doing this job day in and day out when everyone keeps treating you like a third world citizen. In the words of Rodney Dangerfield "I get no respect"

I want you to know I didn't pick that video because I wanted pity I picked the video to show I'm not the douche' trucker that one might think that I'm. I care, all I ever wanted was to share my story, heck our story. What we as drivers endure every day, I know some of it is silly as all heck and I can not encapsulate "the trucker" because this industry takes all kinds. I do believe that I have made at least one video I think every driver can relate too.

I'm very sorry to hear about your lose as well. My life has forever changed, in a way few could understand, I'm sure you feel the same. Your son was a HERO to all, I hope that your son is looking out for my little boy in heaven.

    Steve,

Sometimes the internet has me, I did not mean anything bad and if it came off that way then please accept my apologies.

I know exactly how it feels in my own way, to be completely honest you have handled it well and like I said everyone has a way of working it out and you have a nack for it in a good way.

Knowing my son, he has kids all around him. He was very much the protector and big brother type. No one could ever hurt a child around him without suffering the wrath of his animal side. Your son is in good hands now, may all the peace and love encompass you and your family.

    Your son is safe

Logan76, scottied67 and Trucker Steve Thank this.
