Don't pay the ransom!!! I've escaped.
I left out last Wednesday with a pipe load that a driver had broken down on (imagine that), and delivered it in Midland Texas Thursday morning.
They then dead headed me up to Duke Oklahoma to pick up a load of sheet rock going to Topeka Indiana for Monday. By the time I got to Duke, it was too late to load so I got it Friday morning. American Gypsum has no facilities for drivers so make sure you have food and jugs with you.
I spent Friday and Saturday nights at the Madison yard. After getting unloaded in Topeka I went to USS is Gary and loaded 2 skidded coils to Paris Texas which I delivered yesterday afternoon then headed to Gurdon and loaded plywood that I dropped at the yard.
I am now done with flat bedding. I have to keep the same truck until they get some of the trucks swapped from the dedicated Home Depot account in Columbia Tennessee. This morning I turned all the stuff on my head ache rack into the Accessory Shop and am using bungee straps to hold them to the back deck. I will spend the next 2 days in TCD training then I'm staying off until Monday.
Kelly Matthews will be my FM in TCD. I think it's going to be fun working with him. He is a character.

Hey Thanks! I just did my DOT physical. It was cake. This sounds very do-able for me. I know I am getting nervous over nothing. I am physically fit. I'm sure I will do OK. I keep hearing about lifting 140 pound boxes up on to a flatbed??? Good grief! Now that I could not do without a ruptured disc! lol Thanks for the info...I'll go at it in my best form. In real life.? I am not going to lift anything so heavy as to get hurt. Thats just ridiculous. That's what they made fork lifts for? LOL Thanks again.. Hey do they have a cafeteria or something at Little Rock? How do you get your meals? Fridge in the room?

The first week you stay at the maverick hotel (on the yard) there are fridge in a common room and 2 microwave. And also while in orientation they provide lunch but you provide your own breakfast and dinner. -
Well then...I am just going to relax and wait for my date. I'll stop with the push ups...they are wearing me out..lol
Are you still in Little Rock or out with a trainer? Flat or TCD? Thanks, I will bring plenty of Ramen noodles...lol -

Good luck and thanks for the info!

Hey no problem at all. -
TCD training went well today. There are 5 of us in the class, 3 students, an EXT and me. We watched 1 video then went over several other topics with the final being going into Canada then returning to the US. There is actually a virtual Temp Control unit on the computers that you can adjust anything on you can on a real unit (at least as far as the controls).
Tomorrow we watch the dreaded "10-85 Echo" video, which I've seen at least 3 or 4 times before. It's the one where the guy was texting and crossed the center line and killed the two guys going the other way. If I have to watch it again, I'm going to turn the audio off and close my eyes. We'll do some hands on with a TCD trailer then test out and go meet our FM's. I already know mine but he's a fun guy so I won't mind visiting with him.
It just rained here at home so I'm probably going to have to mow before I go out on Monday.sewerman Thanks this.
