    I have a question friend of mine just started out with his TE and the TE is asking him to drive 15 hrs a day and told him to cheat on his logs/qualcom, being a newbie i think hes stuck and not sure what to do, and i dont want him to risk his career or his cdl.

    I know, huh? Even though I think they guy was just nuts, I'm still trying to lose that word from my vocabulary, out of fear of what people might think it means, lol.

    Your friend is piping sunshine up your ###. You can't cheat the HOS on the QualComm. You can fudge a little (few minutes) here and there. But rest assured, your friend is NOT driving 15 hours a day. Nor is he working more than 14 hours.

    While I'm willing to bet that reality is slightly different from the picture your friend painted I would have him call Rick Blaser with his concerns. Your friend should have been given the number last week but if not pm me and I'll give it to you.

    As to not being able to cheat the elog - its very possible in a TE/trainee situation. Under WF if any tasks are done with the student as the active driver WF gets confused and may assign the TEs truck to the student. To fix it requires a platoon of programers, three priests, and may involve sacraficing virgins in a volcano. QC is also ahving a problem where the junior driver in a team situation randomly gets logged out while going down the road. Many TEs just run paper logs, get them scanned in within 3-4 days and regulatory won't even catch tbe violation.
