In the shop the past 2 weeks...paycheck was $2.71 this week...LOL...no miles, but got some MUCH needed work done on this old truck (rebuilt jakes, sorted out some wiring issues, installed MCP200 Qualcomm, fixed the dash, replaced an engine mount, replaced the LVD, 4 brand new batteries, fixed the damaged bumper (deer), fixed my drivers door (hard to shut, wouldn't seal tight, wind noise), replaced drivers side window up/down switch, replaced the radio, serviced the truck, replaced 3 trailer tires, fixed right front turn signal (randomly would not work), tightened up the fifth wheel (had slack in the lock)...I'm forgetting a few things...but you get the idea.

Pretty much patching it up well enough to last until the end of the year...they have finally ordered new trucks for the MSO division, they even spec'd them specifically for MSO.

MSO = Maverick Specialized Opportunity fleet (there are just 12 of us)

A few loads I've hauled...pics are worth 1,000 words, LOL. It will also explain why 6mpg is worth bragging about (for me).

90,000 lbs gross weight on this one...some loads are 92,000 lbs.

No need to be...MSO isn't as glorious as it looks (for most people)...this is the middle of August, I've been home 4 times since January 3rd...I was supposed to be home at the end of this month but I don't think I'm gonna make it because they put me back out here hauling combines again, which is perfectly fine with me ($$$)...I have vacation scheduled beginning Nov. 15th...home will still be there in November.

I was...Maverick no longer has the contract to haul Thomas though...I hauled the last one last year from Felton, CA to Strasburg, PA...last I heard Roehl is hauling him now.

Maverick chose not to renew the contract...too many empty miles and it was causing headaches scheduling drivers to haul Thomas when they were needed elsewhere.

Well, I had two things work against me this past week. First of all had to take truck in for oil change service at T/A in Jeffersonville, OH Tuesday evening............. After waiting until FIVE O'CLOCK IN THE FREAKIN' MORNING TO GET MY TRUCK BACK, I had to get some sleep. Slept until Noon, so I ended up losing about half of a day with that fiasco.
Second, the next w/a was from Pittsburgh, PA to Lynchburg, VA. Anytime I get sent out to VA I normally will only end up with a total of 4 loads for the week and fewer miles too. And that is exactly what happened.

4 Loads/Tarps & 1897 miles. Hoping to stay away from T/A's and Virginia this week..... UGH!!!
