Anybody know what the fee is for the TWIC card?

Depending on whether you already have a HazMat endorsement recently or not check here for that information:

Front page says it was reduced to $129.75, but if you had the Hazmat background check it can be lower. Check the site above for further information.

yup thats whati think i paid $135 bux. as for the fingerprints nope the DMV prints have nothing to do with the GOVt prints to seperate agencys so you will have to do the same and give prints for TWIC>

 

Twic must have biometric scans of your didgit and they must be in the system for twic.

 

I have my HazMat. The TWIC is just a money grab by the government. I have been to ports who 'require TWIC' and, when I tell them I have already passed the FBI, DHS, and State background checks enough to transport anything up to and including high explosives anywhere in this country, they wave me through.

I'm not falling for it. Yes, my company wants me to get one and has offered to 'reimburse' me but I'm not paying for it

TWIC and HAZMAT backgrounds are two different checks and systems.

What I pull and with a TWIC card recieves about 25% more to the truck so my TWIC card has paid for itself the first time in port.

 

i won't pay for it either; my company tells me the same; GO GET IT & WE'LL RE-IMBURSE U; no way, u want me to have it, u take me to get it & pay for it, i'm not wanting it, u want me to have it so u do it this way or nothing @ all; they're tried to fire me for it already but didn't work; twic is nothing but a big money thing & a joke, just about anyone can get it & go into the ports & do as they please once they go thru security

 

well the TWIC here in the port(s) of miami and port everglades and jaxport WILL NOT LET YOU INTO PORT NO MATTER HOW CLEARED YOU ARE WITH GOVT.....!!
if you dont have one you cant come in and thats a fact now, if your com. send you to pull equipment or cargo out of a area requiring a TWIC card your stuck with no work or will need to have them dispatch you another load. there no way of getting around it snap even the DOT officers down here will ask you for it quickly just to do a quick clearence as to if you have a major record or not.

now did i like paying $135 for it and waiting almost 3 weeks to get it when they first started up this bogus mission NO, crap i didnt even get reimbursed ive used it so much its almost faded lol.
