You are ten years off of the last factory installed pre-emission motors. Sooo, along with rebuilding the million mile motor, will more than likely be all the main wear items like tires brakes etc. Then did the previous owner rebuild the trans clutch rears king pins u joints etc. within a recent time frame? You have to know what you are doing if you are buying this sort of truck or at least have access to a quality shop.
I talked to a Pete dealer who was in love w/red motors. Told me all I would have to do within every three year period was turbo, possibly two egr valves & one egr cooler & that was the avg.(obvious maintenance items excluded from his sales pitch) Screw that, will hang on to my yellow C12 & do a platinum inframe before jumping on that wagon. My local KW dealer will not sell me a 07.5-10, they flat out said they would not do that to me. Sends a pretty clear message doesn't it?
I wish I could afford a new glider, but way out of my range for now.
But thinking I saw cowpie1's new ride rolling east out of Omaha area two days ago around noon. *I think*
Pre EGR overrated ?

I honestly would go with a Coronado glider. They can be had for about $115,000 out the door, and are very nice inside and get descent MPG over the bricks mentioned above. trust me, my Star gets terrible MPG. But a Star with a 12.7 Detroit may not be so bad. If you could get it into the mid 7's then it would be well worth it.DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
Talked to Truck Centers in IL a couple weeks back. They were saying they were around 10 grand cheaper than Fitzgeralds. Not sure of the details as 105 or 115 is too much for me,but worth looking into along with Harrisons or any reputable F/liner dealer.

Peterbilt 389 gliders start around $90k and that's w/out any parts, just the kit !!!! But Pittsburgh power will put you one together for only $180k LMAO !!!!!aiwiron and DrtyDiesel Thank this. -
