Ok, so I am new to the trucking world, but i have found this site to be very helpful tool. So i have been in school now for about a month and a half now, and so far about 6 diffrent companies have visited out school and talked to us and told us about them why they are all the best....
but this company was at the top of my s--t list
This guy came in and started telling us about Us Exp. and it was going great sounded like a great company to go to, then, all of a sudden this mean angry guy came in to our room, and when we asked question about the company, this guy would actualy YELL at us, and seemed to me ticked off about every question asked, oh yeah by the way, this was the same guy, not 2 diffrent people, seriously, every question asked he got ticked about, and finaly he said " get the hell out of here and go have lunch " this whole time, were all sitting there like " :biggrin_2551: " you have to be kidding
so, NO i will never work for them just based on their choise of disrespectful repusentation
    well, just my input

Well, that's one way to scare away recruits.

Sounds like a guy who didn't take his medication.

Usually, recruiters are the "nicer" people at trucking companies. If this recruiter is acting this way, imagine what a dispatcher will be like who's gotten up on the wrong side of bed.

I've heard US Express offers some sort of good training deal. You don't have to sign a slavery contract to get them to train you, according to rumour. This is one of those grain-of-salt things that may be true.

I would've had to tell that ignoramus to go have sexual relations with himself and walk out. Nobody's going to talk to me like that.

The more I hear about USX, the more I wonder how I made it there for 6.5 years. But trust me people ,they were not always that bad. :biggrin_255:

hey bigblue, thats terrific that your there 6.5 years, and seriously thats great, but its the nimfo s.o.b that came to our school that got me soo tiked off at the way he presented himself and the company,, yes, most companies do make there companies sound like the second comming of christ, bu this guy made it sound like the second comming of hell, honst to god, but bigblue you would have chosn to opt for a nother company had you met the (o) we did,
Best of luck to you out there

US EX used to be good. I'm talking 1998 here. I tried to hire on with them in '99, but they wouldn't take me on knowing I would be working summers-only. I took the rest of the year off to go to school and they (understandably) didn't like it. I didn't have a problem with them saying "no"...I had a problem with them saying "no" after keeping me hanging around the SL terminal (since closed) for five days of orientation before telling me.

I talked to 3 different recruiters trying to get a job with them. The first one said that everything was good to go,went to the bus station a few hours early,no ticket, invalid confermation number. He never put my info into the system ,2nd recruiter, put my info into the system, then told me that I didn't have the minimum time needed as a first seat, when I read my info back to her she said that I had to send her proof of my times by contacting the company I trained under and get a copy of the maintainance sheet I used to sign for my truck,notorized.3rd recruiter, told me that my licence is suspended, scared the :angryfire: out of me,and when I called the DMV my licence ws good to go.So me personaly , I'm trying other companies.
