Okay, did orientation Tuesday and Wednesday. I can tell you this...their Computer Load system is AWESOME!!! Not to mention my phone is ringing off da hook with agents wanting to give me work!! So far, I am happy. Ran a load from Georgia to Indiana. Paid around $1.50 including fuel, a little better than the $1.18 then I was getting before. Granted, I may or may not get rich, but the piece of mind of finally feeling like an Owner Operator and not a "Company Driver with a Truck Payment" is worth it.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention one other AWESOME feature of being a BCO with LS...no more scanning freight bills at truck stops....I can scan them right from my truck!!

Actually, I have a HP all-in-one unit that I had in my truck for making copies and such. Now, it REALLY has purpose in life.
So far I am still pleased with my choice. I am learning new stuff every day. Like....don't ever take a load from Landstar that they got from CH Robinson. Chances are, the CH Robinson driver dropped the ball and we picked it up. Bad thing is, when you get to the shipper, they tell you that YOU are late and make ya wait 7 hours to fit you in. :biggrin_2551:
Oh well, either way, it is nice not having a dispatcher to deal with.

CH Robinson loads are always like that. I have felt dealing with them is like the bottom of the barrel.

One of the companies I dealt with years ago used them for their back hauls. They acted like everything was hot. They would even try to get cell numbers (back in 2000 when roaming was an issue) and try to call many times. They also wanted contact during the trip.

sounds like things are going good. ya have to be saving a little by scanning your stuff in. I'm down to drug test and vehicle insp. Then it's the waiting game. But I don't think it will be that long. best of luck to ya keep me informed. God I didn't think C.H. Robinson had any trucks anymore....haven't seen on in a long time.
