625 ILCS 5/12-503(c) No person shall drive a motor vehicle with any objects placed or suspended between the driver and the front windshield, rear window, side wings or side windows immediately adjacent to each side of the driver which materially obstructs the driver's view.

Not even an Illinos cop is that stupid. -
that's where i get the number 18 - 22 % -
In Texas last week, it was almost every car.
But, I was probably not paying as close of attention as you were so I would have missed alot. -
During the transition of the period you might run into a situation where the officer may not have access and then the copy will be required.
Personally I will continue to carry it even though it us attached. -
i was referencing my days as a mechanic. not my days as a trucker.
you read my post wrong. anbd came up with the wrong interpretation of what i said.
what i said was. I'M A RETIRED MECHANIC THAT ONCE DID SAFETY INSPECTIONS.
in no way did i say i'm still looking and inspecting cars while i'm driving a truck. -
I just figured you might notice it more.

As a CMV engaged in interstate transportation, you ARE regulated by the FMCSA. Whether or not the state allows cars to tint the front windows is irrelevant, because the FMCSA still prohibits it in CMV's darker than 30% light blockage (allowing 70% of the light to pass through). -
It's called a tan, deal with it.
