What an amazing little product!! I can't believe I have lived without it for soooo long. Landstar accepts the printed logs so, no more log books for me. [IMG]
I have 45 days left on my free trial, but will GLADLY drop the $95 for this when it comes up:

I have been using DDL since 1975, and have no complaints. Well worth the 95.00 bucks. I use a loose leaf log to turn in but I double check it with DDL.

Glad you straightened that out. I was wondering if they had an abacus version of DDL too...
I have been using it since about 1996 (or so) 4th revision. Using it so long, I have a free lifetime license. In fact, I like to think that I was the one who convinced Nick to start charging for it.

Actually, I would gladly pay TWICE as much for this wonderful gift to Truck Drivers.

Sometime about 2002 (not sure of the year) while I was using DDL, I found another program in the internet that cost $70 for a license. There was a 30 day "Trial" Period. I D/L this other program and used it side-by-side with DDL for 30 days.
This other program was VERY "basic", was very difficult to use, "LOOKED" horrible and printed "UGLY" logs. I began emailing the creator and his replies were condescending and rude. Sometime later I wrote LandLine Magazine about these two programs, of which they published the majority of my letter. I said that "by-far DDL was the better program, at any price" I sent the article to Nick and shortly after that he began charging for the program. When the HOS regulations changed recently, Nick updated his program, and the other one disappeared.

Well the fact that the log I print looks EXACTLY like my Landstar log book, there is no reason for me to do anything but use the software.

A driver brought this to my attention one day and I told him instantly it would not work with the JJ Keller scanning software. He kept bugging me etc and then he went a step above me and found out it could be done as long as they used my log format (is somewhat a little different, but it works fine).

So I sell their product 2 x's a week to drivers, I would say I sell # least 2-3 a week and I get nothing from doing this.:biggrin_2551: But it helps the drivers so I continue to do it and it helps us, we can read them and them drivers usually don't go over their 11,14 or 70 hour rule. Now I have found they cheat.
