It is highly unlikely that you will make what you're making now in your first year. Probably not your second or third years either. After that, you should be able to get back to what you're bringing in now. And making more will be possible but you're going to have to run hard to do it. Or get into some sort of specialty hauling like oversized flatbed loads. Not sure how much of that type of work exists for teams though.

Someone recently mentioned to me that the owner/ops who move wind turbine blades get about $9/mile to the truck. No idea if that's accurate but its what someone told me. I assume you need to pay for chase cars and permits out of that as well and you also have to factor in coming back empty (i.e. no back haul revenue). But still, it seems like decent money. And they tend to need several trucks for each operation so maybe running as a team with separate trucks could work for you in that sort of gig.

Beyond that, the only guys I know who seem to bring in north of $70k consistently are the UPS and LTL guys. But those jobs tend to be local/solo work.

You are most welcome. I love to fish and camp, the wife was a professional photographer, she has some darn good artistic work she has done. Carry my fishing pole with me in the rig, she carries a few camers and some professional film in her refrigerator. On days where I have time waiting on a load and a body of water close by I will be drowning worms. She will be roaming around taking photographs.

Why do u say it costs a lot of money to love on the road? I was thinking that all u need is food and drinks. A shower and a little bit of laundry. How much does it cost you per month?

you can make about 80k to the team a year. average.

question is, is it worth all the hassle of running 5-6k miles a week and sleeping in a moving cab.

if your happy where you at now stay there, i mean you can support a family with 30k a year if you wanted to.
