Conway Truckload Drivers what is your 20?

In bunk! left Philly yesterday afternoon- relay a Waco load at Lancaster yard in 3 hrs then to Romulus MI. I think they r testing the new team. So far- so good.

 

We came too Dallas to go to the truck show and get some tune up and suspension work done too the truck. They found a small crack and oil leak in the gear house. That was Thursday. Went too pick it up today and found two parts they F' up and told the, no way.
I came here too make truck better, not worse. They are fixing those parts tonight. Truck still hasn't been to the suspension shop and tomorrow is wed.
SOME truck shops just don't give a #### about drivers.
It's weird to me how an industry that works by the hour, controls one that doesn't.

On a lighter note it has been nice just chilling.

Sitting at ve freight in Salem, Il to p/u load taking me to the house. Where I park Mt trk when home. This will be a 1st straight home. When I got here and did Post trip a trl tire had 10 psi of air in it. Instead of just dropping trl called road service and less than 20 minutes a trk comes and repairs the hole that was in the tire. He got there so fast I knew he was there to fix a freight trk but no he was there for my trl. I called road service at 2100. The guy had tire off hole repaired and left less than hour after calling road service. The Lord has blessed me with a good week. Nite All please be safe.

 

Why is Conway TL putting Freight over Driver Saftey???

I have a buddy who they sent into a shipper Monday to pick up pre loaded TRL ...below I-10 in LA below New Orleans..he got there at 3pm an hour after they evacuated (mandatory )
So he drives up to Hammond la ....spend the night on his break then calls in to be told "oh we hv to get you out of there"....so D/H up to Jackson MS.....this gets better...

So Tuesday he get a pre plan.....9am TODAY pick up @ same shipper same load ....below new I-12 on I-10.....in the middle of hurricane Issac!!!

He got Qualcomm MSG saying they think it will be"OK"

He has gotten about 800 mi since last Friday ...time to wake up Conway before good drivers start quiting....but I forget they got 5 new fresh out of school in boot camp to replace him with....

 

It feels like lately our dispatchers have been replaced with those from how I always imagined it would be like to work at Swift. But all your friend had to do was call safety and aprise them of the situation (as I am sure they are well aware) and they would have backed him fully in getting to somewhere safe. I certainly would have never driven down there today or yesterday.

 

Why didn't they send that pirate down there they hired... We are professionals not idiots I came threw there yesterday 1000 in back I was blowin all over. But I had to get out or be stuck there. I wouldn't of taken that load would of told em where to put it

 

Been standin here 20 mins waitin to check in.. I'm startin to get annoyed stupid rock tenn

 

I am glad we got some rain! The beach is awesome today! But my body is dead from moving our bed dresser couch recliner TV and countless boxes of books and appliances by myself since Sunday!

 

3 hours still not loaded.. got a major hub seal leak. My rim and tire is oil soaked.
