If he wanted to spend more money than he will ever have, or had, he could get a lawyer and pursue all sorts of things, from whether he was actually an employee to what was or was not legal in the lease he signed, and what they deducted. But without Fort Know financing such an endeavor, hope that you have learned something/ a lot, and go forward with your life.
I need your advise Drivers! This is about my former employer as a contractor!!!

Learn to conduct yourself in a professional manner when communicating with your next employer, especially if it's in writing or via email/text. You might be the best trucker that ever lived, but if you come across as a #### in your written communications you'll make enemies
If people don't like you, they'll set you up to fail.Last edited by a moderator: Aug 29, 2012

If I read this right he signed something stating he was a contractor. Does this mean OP was paid on a 1099?
Op states he's "smarter than the average trucker Joe"...... Wanna bet? -

Thanks for proving you are smarter than the average trucker joe.
Meanwhile I'll go put my paycheck in the bank. The one I earned and they paid.

Hey Starsonwindow, Out of curiosity, how old are you?

It sounds like another lease and fleece deal with no guarantee as to how many loads or miles you were to be given each week. As long as they get their lease payment they don't care if you have money. And companies will charge for truck recovery esp if it isn't taken back to the terminal. It songs like you pissed them off questioning why they weren't giving you miles and keeping you sitting something I am sure everyone on here wouldn't like either. Good luck I hope you can get on without this following you and stay away from the lease fleece.

Wow.I think i have a fairly good command of the english language.I figured out where the problem is.The replies i've read, starting with the first lack of patience second post on this list, are confrontational in nature. That would indicate to me it's the way the OP deals with things.Just my thoughts.
To the OP-This is a lot like i tell my step kids-I talk.I'm right.Get used to it.Take care.Brianstarsonwindow Thanks this. -
