I will be going through a private CDL school in Oct, they have a list of company's that will hire graduates and they have life time job placement. Now I would like to know if there is anywhere the recent graduate can advertise themselves to get a job on there own, like the classified ads. I have been doing my home work and going to company web sites, I am just curious, Thanks for any info you may have.
Not sure if this exists.

Craig's List
but be very careful of the responses you get from the emails. many will be from the major carriers or as we call them, "the mega-carriers" that pay crappola....
DO NOT EXPECT to get paid MORE MONEY from any of these companies then they would have offered you via the school..
as for the "lifetime" placement assistance, do not believe it one bit. as you gain your experience, jobs with better companies thru the school will be too few and far between. they usually always have the "mega-carriers" for one to go to, and once you get your experience, you WILL NOT WANT to work for any of those companies.DrtyDiesel and gb2nyc Thank this. -
Posting yourself in classifieds, probably not. Companies will post openings there but they will most likely be experienced required. With no experience, your best bet will be with a starter company

so it can be done. -
The best thing you can do for "Guaranteed lifetime placement"?? is keep your nose clean, don't screw up, don't get tickets, and get the job done, month in and month out. In a year you can begin to seek better opportunities, in 2 years you can virtually work anywhere you want to work where wages, bennies, and home-time and/or maximum miles comes together to give you what you're looking for. But if you don't/can't prove your worth and your abilities inside the first year as a trucker, you may as well save your marriage, watch your kids grow up, and mow lawns and shovel snow because anything else is a waste of everyone's time and expense.

The only time I have used Craigslist is to buy used furniture. If a posting looks too good to be true it's a scam.

there are a couple of sights that one can advertise looking for a job.
i can't think of there names right off hand but craigslist isn't one of them.
i get an email about once every 6 months. from some company wanting to hire.
google is your friend. -
