    If money wasn't an issue would continue to drive or become a trucker? Why or why not?

    I would because I love the lifestyle!! I love waking up every day in a new place and being able to see new sights and areas of our country. I always wanted to travel and this way I am being paid to be a tourist to some extent. And the freedom of deciding when to start working, when to take breaks, when to 'knock off' at the end of the day is great.

    Money's not an issue, I am going to do it cause I want to. I guess I don't need or want a lot of stuff to be happy.

    Trucker Pete;
    I'm not here for the money please read post, I use to drive back in the 90's and loved it. My issue is I have been reading all these post and it seems just about everyone has a negative attitude. Is it because truckers don't have money to make ends meet and that's why the complaining or are the companies really that bad to work for?

    Sam Hell Thanks this.

    I definitely would continue driving. I wouldn't go to certain places, but overall I would be driving.

    yeah there are a few of us out here like this.....i ended up with an 'early retirement' from a lucrative 20 years in aviation and spent my reitrement savings on foreclosed properties....found i had too much of a work ethic to sit around and just collect the rents so i started on career #2 doing what i had always wanted to do and loving it.....

    so money isn't an issue, and i'm loving what i'm doing.....

    but, i also did my homework, got in with a smaller and much better company than the bottom feeders, brand new truck, home every weekend, and still cleared almost 44k first year.....

    so money still wouldn't really be an issue even if not for the financial independance, and life is good hehehehe
