Just thought if anyone had any questions about Maverick Transportation, i have been with Maverick since 1998 and have been training drivers for about a year now. If anyone had any questions about this great company, let me know.

I drive for them. I was just trying to see if the mav trainer was gonna dodge my question. :biggrin_25523: I run chicago hard. Then they take it off the map. Then somehow I find my way back there.:biggrin_2559:

just checked my mail. yes we do run in chicago quite a bit. there are several steel mills there, and a lot of freight to be had. You will get into a rut sometimes, and be in chicago once or twice a week; then you may not see chicago for a month. Just depends on how freight is. After you run in chicago a dozen times or so, you will get more familiar with it. Chicago is not as bad as some make it out to be, if you just stick to your directions.

I have had my share of chicago with mav and other companies. It is not just knowing your way around. Construction, your exit is blocked, some of the bonehead people you have to deal with and Lord help you if you need the other lane!:biggrin_2559: Not to mention there are a few tight streets to drag that spread axle around. There is one up there that is a back in off street and then blindside in tight dock with little room. I was having a good day that day and traffic was OK!

I am not sure what div you would be in. They go by where you live. I am in the US div and I like it. Were you the one that I reading a post on that was worried about shifting? If so they have auto's. They take students. You will be with a trainer up to 6 weeks. I know you can not PM on here yet, but you can email or YIM me if you want.
