You can still get new laptops that have XP from NewEgg if your really wanting to get a new notebook all together.

Like others have said before though, if your current notebook is still in good condition your best bet is to wipe your OS and just install XP off of a disc.

If you go the NewEgg route just be aware that the PCs they sell that still run XP are spec'd to when XP was current, so they'd be incredibly less powerful by today's standards.

You can partition your hard drive that is running win7 and install winXP, "dual OS",,, and use the one that you prefer at start-up

    short awnser is no
long awnser is if you have an xp program you want to run on win7 just run it in compatibility mode ( go into properties select compatibility and check the box select from the drop down the old OS it ran on)

not only will this take HOURS and hours most times you wont find the right drivers for all your hardware

if your dead set on an XP OS i'd say ebay one but most software now a days wont run on xp

i've seen xp models around. albeit used. but i'm about the value of a buck. and it's not there considering you can buy a much more powerful machine with a more current windows os for a few bucks more.

Why do you want XP, is it so a program you have will work?

You can try 7 in compatibility mode like suggested above, but I've found that very hit or miss.

Your best bet is to get a system with Windows 7 Professional (Or Ultimate). This allows you to download and install the XP mode from MS's website. 100% legal, and 100% compatible with XP as it is XP, just running inside Windows 7. More information can be found at MS's XP Mode website.

First...why would you EVER want W-7...??? It does NOT work anywhere close to what is old farts are USED TO...!!!!!

I just paid to DUMP W-7....and go back to XP-Prof FROM W-7.
