well I must admit I still am considering CRST only because they have a local Terminal and dedicated route that will get me home every week. and train in a local school...but the Team part could be a problem not having a co driver or not being able to stand your co driver and sleep while he crashes the truck!!!

Be careful when these outfits promise you a dedicated route. They play the bait and switch game all the time.

After you go through all their orientation and training, they will tell you the dedicated position has been filled.

    Aaron062 Thanks this.

Ask them to put it in writing that you will be on a dedicated route. Bet they won't do it.

If CRST is willing to give you a chance I would think other companies will also.Have you applied to many companies?Untill you're 100%positive you wanna sign that 8 month contract ,I would look elsewhere. You know what a contract means don't you?It means they own you till you completed it.I have spoke to more CRST teams that get solo loads and sit alot.

Exactly. One of the recurring themes with these training contracts is, what if they decide to starve you out? Can you live on $200 per week? Think it won't happen?

Also if they fire you, you are still on the hook for the tuition costs.

Yeah I applied with Central Refrigerated this weekend and have called some others they tell me if you have no experience you need to go back through the hole 160 hours course again and then say since you got terminted for safety thats on my DAC-BS for a accident that was ruled Non-Preventable get six months experience of safe driving and we will hire you...

well how do you get six months of safe driving if no one will hire you. CRST said they did care because U.S Xpress contradicted itself on my DAC and marked the accident Non- preventable and said terminated for safety that could have been determined wrongfull termination.

so now Im thinking of a Stafford Loan someone made that suggestion on another thread, but got to make sure that terminated for safety thing does not get in the way. or my Misdemeanor its 4 years old and some want if to be atleast five one company said Felony 7 years- Misdemeanor-10 years make sense out of that.CRST only PRE-Hire I have right now but I really don't want to work for them and would hate every min:biggrin_25521:ute that might be a safety issue and end with I don't care attitude or quit and get a bill for $5.0000 Thanks Guys...

If the company is not wanting a misdemeanor out 10 but a felony out to 7 they know what they are doing. I mean if you are doing crime do it big time. Who wants someone that only puts a little effort into anything.

When you team, as long as the other person is safe and clean, you will be fine. You do not see all that much of each other. You work different 10s. It is best to 10 and 10 not 11 and 11. stop for quick meals, do not loan money to the other driver, and you should be okay.

As for any company being bad, they all have drivers driving for them so someone has to be making a living.
