I assume the team you are talking about was a Trainee/Trainee team since we have been told more than once, "What do you mean you stopped for a break? You're a full time, you don't have to stop, one of you sleeps while the other drives". And I also assume that all the drivers refusing repowers are Alliance/or O/O since I understood that was one of the 'perks' of contract, Company drivers were required to accept all repowers.

We have mostly quit doing repowers as well cause we are always lied to and get shafted on the repowers.

As for the phones, the most frustrating thing is waiting on hold and hearing the cycle of "There are 12 calls ahead of you, There are 10 calls ahead of you" all the way down to one call, then suddenly, "There are 12 calls ahead of you" comes back on.

    Heading to the yard tomorrow.

Got a job offer back home...hourly...home every night....catering mainly to the wine industry in Napa and Sonoma valleys. Hauling glass and packaging in....and wine out.

They pay cut is pretty drastic though so I'm still on the fence. One of those "6 to one...half a dozen the other" decisions. I've got until Friday to give them my decision.

If anyone is on the yard...I'll see you tomorrow evening!

havent totally made up my mind yet but i have two offers now on the table both in my home state one reefer one dry van. going on home time after this load to make the choice and clean out the truck then heading to the yard to turn truck in. i have sat on 5 or 6 34 hour restarts in the past 2 weeks and i need money basically. for the most part i liked working here and i liked dealing with emul in the office but if the wheels are not turning im not earning.

I am starting to get to that point myself. I emptied in Denver Monday night, I deadheaded to Holcomb yesterday and here I sit today, still no load assignment. Was told last night that they are just trying to get as many trailers there so they can get some freight moving. Fair enough, There are 5 Stevens Bobtails sitting at the plant, I drive to Garden City Travel Center and think I took a wrong turn to Dallas as there are so many Stevens trucks here it looks like the yard, I talk to a couple of the drivers and they of course already have assignments and are waiting on their loads, they are all gone this morning BTW, yet here I sit, Driver Manager not answering his phone or the Qualcomm, meet dispatch not answering phone or returning calls. I can understand a load not being ready, but not even being assigned a load?

As it is I have to be back in Dallas Monday because my Qualification card expires. I am getting to the point that I can't afford to work for Stevens. At this point they could be paying me $10.00 a mile and I still would not make #### because I am sitting still... WTF?

Sitting at the final in Orlando waiting for a door, of course our appetite isn't until 1. My trainer just said "alright people, it's been 12 minutes ". He can be a bit impatient.

LOL, we got tired of their company and went to the TA in New Braunfels. Lucked up and got a repower coming out of Laredo which will hopefully get us lined up for hometime in Michigan next week. Drop in Dallas in the morning then Smyrna, TN Saturday morning.

Oh I know that run! I had to put a repower together on that run earlier this week since the truck with the load broke down.
    Nice run!
