Finished my annual which included going over my logs, pretrip, drive test and backing. Although I got a good talk about my logs and the proper way of logging ( apparently they don't like it when your logging drop and hooks in 5 minutes, etc. Passed and got a slip to use on crossroads for a free pair of boots.
I also have an old football injury where sometimes if I twist on my right leg my knee cap likes to pop out. It just so happened that it popped kit while I hopped on the passenger steps to clear the seat for the osr. Which he said was a good demonstration of why the proper method is so important. A bit emberassing, havnt had my knee cap pop out for probably 2 years. -

Just PU a load of hay from Atlanta farms in Pioche NV and scaled it there. Tandems were over he wanted me to just go but I asked if he could fix it. They pushed the hay back but no good then stacked the hay on top of the row behind which got the tandems under and all checked out on his scale. 78660 gross. I drive 200 miles to the pilot in Vegas and scale it at th Cat scale and I get. 11440, 33400, 34160, 79000. I am already at the 40' hole because I'm going to Long Beach CA. His scale must suck and the load might have shifted. I moved the pin one back so I don't trigger a scale hopefully. What's worse the pin 1 off or over tandem 160? What would you guys normally do with something like this? Should I call my DBL in morning and ask? Thanks for help am new driver. Also, isn't there a couple hundred pound leeway?thought I remember reading that in the DMV book.... I just checked and the DMV book says in practice the CHP gives a 200 pound variance factor and if your 100 pounds over that then you will get a citation and unable to leave without fixing weight or permit. So sounds like I should Put the pin back to CA legal and hope for the best?

Also, its very rare to be called into the scales in California. 99.9% of the time I get the bypass signal.
