You have to ask 3 times, click your heels together and say I want a new identity, I want a new identity, I want a new identity, and then run around any Pilot Truck stop backwards.

I can help you with that. Meet me behind Lands' End Corporate Headquarters and bring cash. I have to warn you, this is going to hurt. There is a little hole in the wall motel down the road, I'll cover your expense there while you heal.

And since you are in Illinois, you will be able to provide a shiny new cdl with government sponsorship and the new identity.

    Pain ain't a problem.
    Cash ain't a problem either.
Only problem is I need immediate use of two fingers,
the left index and right trigger.
Make that happen and I think we might have a deal.

    OH!
When you make the reservation for me at that little hole-in-the-wall motel
down the road, tell Rosie the room is for AfterShock. She'll up-grade the
room to one with plumbin' --- upstairs, with a view. Talk sweet to 'er and
chances are good she'll discount the rate.
Just be sure to remind 'er to leave the

Thats odd, I worked for MS Carriers up until Swift bought them- 3 1/2 years and never went to NYC. In fact, I just don't go there. I told them as I told my present company-I don't do NYC or Canada. Find me another load of fire me-no big deal.

The only large trucking company I know that has not been talked-down by it's drivers is Barnes Trucking. They are out of the Carolinas-Charlotte I think, but not sure. You see them across the south-southeast in nice maroon and gray trucks.

Thus far, the company I work for is ok if you like to run hard (not Barnes); I mean, paper logs and 3,500-5000 miles a week solo. (I know some will say you can't do 5k a week solo but we do). I pay my own taxes and insurance, but always have over 3,500 mi. weekly. They pay 45 cents all miles with no-touch freight. There are no formalities like the mega carriers. Orientation was 1 hour excluding the drug test; driving test was around the local truckstop (2 minutes). Easy to work for and I would never consider a mega carrier again.
