I use my flashers whenever my speed falls below the posted minimum speed limit or 45 mph if it's not posted.

Drop a gear and fall to 40, my 4 ways are on. Unless I'm in California. They have a law about that, just like laws about everything else.

UMMMM...Injun....read the whole thread....you will find different!

Swift for some reason pushes that BS about CA having a law about 4 ways and big rigs...I took Swift's word for it too....till WCP showed me where I was "mistaken"....I think it was this thread.....back in 2008!!!!:biggrin_25525:

Running up the 101 in CA and came across this guy doing 30-35 afraid of tipping over or something. Very few slow trucks turn on their hazard lights.

I'm amazed that anyone does it anymore....it's trouble enough for some of todays drivers to even use a turn signal when changing lanes!

Do the 4 ways flashers effect brake lights ability to work correctly?
I only ask because I had a driver with flashers on cram his brakes
going downhill.I never saw any brake lights, and closed a nice distance
before I figured out he had poured on the brakes.

Depends. If they do, the brake lights just go from flashing to steady.
