I NEVER one time refused a load. I took everything that they gave me. I started at .26 a mile and got the next raise. I think that I left before the 3rd raise kicked in.

I did my time at Stevens then found the greener grass. I deliver new cars to the dealerships. Its a local/regional position. The longest that I have been out in a week is 3 nights. Im currently in a daycab and they pay for the motel. New truck on order scheduled to be delivered in November. From my understanding it will be a sleeper truck.

I just get so tired of people calling BS when I state what I made at Stevens. Thats the only reason that I posted my settlements. But like I said, they will find a way to say that it was my fault. I just want you guys to know that Stevens does a great job at training people, but just be prepared to live on beans and rice for awhile. Do your time there then move on.

Bear in mind that those are not weekly paychecks. Most are only a few days apart. You get paid after each trip, not once a week. And you also dont see any "cash advances" that were taken out at the fuel pump. Those cash advances add up fast and can make your pay statement look low. Stevens allows you to take 50.00 twice a week in cash advances when you get fuel, and take it back out of your next pay statement.

I dont have the time to do the math either, If someone wants to, go ahead.

All Im saying is that, some people make beans, and some people do well. Some of it has to do with luck, some of it has to do with the person behind the wheel.

Oh excuse me for my post earlier. I thought those were weekly checks. Than there is a reason why the pays were so little

Wait so even a big company like Stevens Transport will be hard to get loads to Miami? How will I ever get home? There is a reason they are hiring there right now

Lol, it's not hard to get loads to Miami. I have delivered there quite a bit. Usually to the Publix Dist Cntr. But it can be tough getting a load out. That Is why they only hire from that area sporadically. But if they hire you, they will get you home.

When companies have a high turn over rate they become desperate and hire many to keep there business going. Not saying they're bad but don't expect to get home much. From many of the posts I've read about Steven's you are out 6 to 8 weeks, can you handle that? If not it isn't for you.
Pay for your CDL through a school and then you will have choices of whom you can work for. Read the Stevens post, you may learn a lot.
    I wish you the best.
