You want a driver with personal experience to talk to you about a company, lieing, fudging, or cheating on e logs?
Here you go! Knight Transportation has employees they hired strictly for this purpose they are called he log guys! There is one at every terminal within Knight and than they also have them on Night Dispatch!
From Brighton, Co. To Devils Lake, North Dakota over 1000 miles one way! Kmart dedicate runs! I left Brighton, Co. at 0700 AM on August 9th 2011 and I was sitting in Devils Lake, North Dakota by 22 45 on August 9th 2011. My truck would only go 65
MPH. You do the math My Elogs showed it only took me 9 hours to do this run! And if you don't believe what I am saying, ITS MANDATED COMPANIES KEEP LOGS FOR DRIVERS FOR 3 ATLEAST 3 YEARS! YOU CAN CALL KNIGHT AND ASK THEM FOR THE LOGS OF ANY DRIVER FOR ANY GIVEN DAY OR WEEK! IF KNIGHT ALLOWS YOU TO HAVE THEM WHEN YOU SEEN A LINE AND TOWN AND STATE NEXT TO THE LINE AND THAN NEXT TO THAT SHOWS AN E THAT E STANDS FOR THE COMPANY HAS EDITED THIS DRIVER LOGS FOR WHATEVER REASON!
Now there is also times the qual com goes out of signal when this happens it automaticly puts you on line 4 regardless if you are driving or taking your ten hour break! So legally when this happens you must start you ten hour break over right? I had enough of this so I went back to paper logs with Knight told them my Elogs went down in Oct. 2011 and I left them in Jan 2012 cause I had enough of their BS!
You can think I am lieing about Knight changing my logs or what Line 5 is used for but Knight has 2500 trucks just ask any of their current drivers how many times a day someone edits their logs so they can have extra time, or make up time to get the load their on time! You would be amazed! -

I worked for a company that used paper logs. The top guys in seniority were making $70K avg. per year. The rest of us were avg. $20K less than them. Went to elogs, and now everyone makes pretty much the same, about $55-$60K per year. My pay went up, the top guys pay went down. Why? No more using two log books for the top guys only. Also, you are forced to learn and implement time management and most everyone working for a company the converts to elogs, their pay goes up. When the company told us we were going to elogs, I started talking to drivers of other companies using elogs, and every driver told me their pay went up, plus they weren't as tired anymore. I didn't believe it until I experienced it.

it depends on the operation. if your pay went up you musta had lousy pay to begin with. now your on electronic management and better trip planning by dispatchers. naturallly your pay SHOULD go up.
in our operation. i can gaurantee my story with the senority drivers. i will lose about 20%. i run ONE computer. and we're home every weekend.
some would say that there are 24/7 operations. but i've been with this company 18 months now. and there's only one pladce that runs 2 shifts. we haul load out every week from them.
the rest. have all been bankers hours.
the only place i can get unloaded on saturday is the major hardware chains. and that's only becuase they are open every day of the week. cept for holidays. -

No, it's not impossible to drive 715 miles in a day. Just keep the left door closed. It's hard as hell to do in a 65 mph truck, and much easier to do in one that allows you to do the speed limit.
My best in a 66 mph truck was about 710. Dispatchers thought I ran over on my logs when they called me the next morning. You can cover some serious ground when you get focused on keeping that left door closed.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
yes drive 11 hrs straight, pee in cup,eat rolling down road, god things are looking up in trucking
