If the 720 routes a few final streets into the receiver differently than my companies direction, what is the best way to modify that? I've tried adding VIAS, but I know there's the street blocking option too. Is there any other way? Thanks

I would use the detour or avoid. Map screen/Cog (bottom left)/detours.

Is the way the TND routes - any restrictions showing on those streets Rand should be aware of?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Thanks for such a quick reply. No, I don't think there were any restrictions. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the 720 was giving me better directions than the company. But I wasn't sure so stuck with what the company had so they wouldn't blame me for any problems.

Sorry I never got back with the examples of when the dirt road stuff was popping up. Right after that, they switched me to another truck which has been in the shop ever since. So all my stuff has been kind of in a state of chaos.

Thanks again for all your help. I mean to sit down and finally read the whole manual so I don't waste your time with stuff that is probably in there. You've been giving such prompt and personalized advice that it's spoiling us. :biggrin_25519:

Question for the crowd. I have a TND500, I've had it for a while. I like it, it's small and compact. Last year I purchased from Rand Mcnally for @ $90.00 a map upgrade, came with an sd card, I also received information at that time I would have "lifetime maps". Now when I go to the website while my gps is hooked up to the computer nothing happens. I don't want a new gps. I can't afford one. Especially if its gonna be s.o.l. in a couple of years. Any idea why I there is no "lifetime" maps for my tnd500?

You will probably need Mark to answer that as there seems to b a problem with some older models being able to download and install and run the new map set as I have found out with my older tnd 700 and I also have lifetime maps. Mark is helping me to get it working and hopefully the issue will b resolved soon. According to Mark the new map set was designed to b used with the 510&710 models and had not been tested for some 500&700 models.

I don't feel nearly as bad as I did. I didn't have an older unit to trade in, so I never was eligible for that special price.
