sucks , but we'll just have to wait for the serious injury accident hopefully nonlethal for anything to change in that regard.

It's not awful when it works right. If you like to follow too closely (and there are NO accusations of the kind being levied here!), you won't like it. Yes, it sometimes will brake suddenly. When I'm in cruise control, I always have my foot over the accelerator pedal just in case it does a "ghost brake"....getting on the gas will take care of that. But I have heard of numerous units that just don't seem to work right. I hear that Schneider had started to install them, but after some poor results discontinued them.

And a 4-pound hammer works wonders.

Sni is still putting them in. I take my truck into the shop every time i go home for them to work on it. Mine has gone out 35 times in 4 months.

Oh, OK...but see, you're still under the threshold of 9 times per month. Sorry, you're one short. :biggrin_2556:

And, I'm just curious....when you say "goes out", do you get the red screen of death? That's happened a few times in my Cascadia here at Crete, but usually cured itself when I cranked up. Got all the batteries changed at the last service, and it hasn't failed since then. Unfortunately, there are a host of things in these new trucks that can go wrong....wonderful advanced technology.

He is ready believe me to oops it hit a deer. If he could have figured how many places it was wired into when it was at International he would have pulled it out himself. He still gets out and tries to adjust when it gets real whacky. It just makes it hard too when you have students on the truck and it is pulling stuff like that.

    To shut On-Guard off:

    Materials Needed:

    One M-80
    Lighter
    Duct Tape

    Directions:

    1) Tape M-80 to "On-Guard" unit

    2) Light fuse of M-80

    3) Run like hell.

    48Packard Thanks this.
