Azcannon it was a great post, but not on the original thread topic. Regardless, that is the right way to make changes in a company. You're right from my experience companies / staff would waste their time complaining before putting a system like that in place, you know, that actually makes everyone accountable.

 

truly many people dont belong in a truck
I believe trip planning and not sitting around doing resets
I always scale
walk down the street when I am not sure of the side street
basically dont put myself in chance of bad situations
I am not special but I am a truck driver

94 days driving one reset means i was available for more miles
no brown nosin about it my DM is fresh out of college and doesn't have a clue

I was asking, what was your experience with the Lease, meaning what was good/bad about the LEASE or Lease Agreement or the circumstances of "Swifts Lease Program".

Not the amount of experience one had "in the seat" or tenure with a particular company.

Sounds like the perfect reason to attempt going into business for yourself. The fact you failed is shocking to me

 

Sorry but most truckers who lease have no business leasing and that is why the failure rate is so high. Most of them look at it as a quick way to make more money than driving company, with the "freedom" to go whereevrt they want between loads, or bobtail home..etc, not realizing this "freedom" is costing them money. Then they come on here and call the one's who actually sign leases that don't totally screw the driver ### kissers because we look at it as an investment, not a quick fix

Even as a driver, I never have tarped, in another job in 2000, I used to put up 40ft by 60ft tents, in the rain and wind, it was difficult, is that what your saying here? I agree with you.

I guess as the HR guy, watching you tarp in a ice-storm from the comfort of my office would just be "entertainment". Encouraging "some", certainly not all drivers to keep the left door closed, feet on pedals etc and a decent log book is not entertaining for me either.

Both of us are there to "work", lets do it.
