Pretty sad. They give you 1/2 cent raise a year. I got offered a job in Chicago for .36c a mile and I just got my license.
-
you hear of drivers working for the companies that get you a license for as low as $.18
companies that reimburse you for your training $.26
per diem companies that charge you $.02 to administer per diem
trans am does none of these things
last week i was home 4 days just a $200 check week before $1369
not the best company but not the worst -
Not debating the quaity of the company,
just stating that they don't have the best pay............
as per one of their drivers. -
no they dont have the best pay but as good or better then most starter companies
everyone forgets that
the best paying companies ie Walmart Perdue etc require years of service
some people make good money right from the start
most of us have to work our way up to better jobs by being better at our jobsAmandaTRUCKwife and kf4omc Thank this. -

I read this all the time "there are better places to drive for if you are experience driver"....... But nobody ever says what they are. If you read through the forum it seems all companies are bad to drive for. I have worked for central refrigerated, swift, and currently with gordon. I have made decent money ($700 - $1200 wkly) with all of them and treated right. I stopped driving with the previous companies for personal reasons and nothing they did. So if you are going to say there is better then back up your statement on who they are.... Ok... I am getting off the soap box.... Drive safe!

My husband works for TA as company and actually the pay isn't bad for a student fresh out of driving school. His weekly average is about $700-$1100. When he is home its usually about six day and still has a check for about $400 so I can't complain. I have heard awful things from TA leasers but I honestly don't think its TA's fault just because I did the math and have talked to numerous people at the yard who make plenty of $$$. Bottom line is you have to know how to run your own business. How can one expect to not plan well and go home often and expect to see a $1500 check?! Iwould recommend going COMPANY to newbies!! Either way, nice place to get some experience. Auto trucks, APUs, nice rider program, decent pay.....oh and how could you not LOVE the ever so helpful NIGHT DISPATCH?!?!?! <~~~ that part was in my sarcastic voice. (actually is my ONLY complaint)

i was on the transam facebook page and i see these pictures of people holding what appear to be truck titles behind t660's?
how exactly does this work? these are people that did 3-5 year leases and actually completed them!!?? im sure TA does not give you the truck for free even though u just paid it off for them...
