Hi Y'all I got in a hurry while working for CR Evil and had an accident. I have two months OTR experience and an accident on my record. not DOT recordable but CR contends that it was preventable. I'm just wondering if this is worse than being fresh out of truck driving school. I've talked to many people who say they'd hire me if I hadn't been either terminated or had an accident on my record. I've talked to United Texas out of Pleasanton and to their drivers. they're taking home about 200 a day and working roughly 7 days a week until they have to have a reset. They said they would hire me but I actually enjoy OTR and I'm not sure if companies will count that as exp. since its not OTR exp.
My dad is a heavy equipment operator in Andrews and said they're making much better pay up there. around 2000 a week. I'm wondering if anyone knows of some companies that would take me? I'm willing to work and ready to fill out some apps but not sure where to start. Thanks for any help.

Hey dad; when can you get me hired would be all the conversation I would be having with anyone.... -
He doesn't have any pull and I would rather be in south Texas than west Texas. But nevermind my real questions which were if anyone knows of someone hiring drivers with not so great records. Is there anything I can do about my record or should I find a bottom feeder to take me on and sit on a job for awhile? lastly will a local oilfield job do me any good as experience since most OTR companies want OTR experience?

Oh and Seattle I don't have a relationship with my "dad" since he left when I was an infant. He was just passing on some information to my mom. Try losing the attitude and have some respect. I'm on here trying to find a better paying job that I enjoy. just the same as anyone else.

hello bennythejew, last year you said that typically you take home 4500 to 5000 a month in the crude oil trucking, is that as company driver as owner operator? I'm contemplating in relocating from Florida to texas and will like to have some info that i will use to decide on which company apply for before moving there
