ok fair enough. from here on i will preface my posts with a disclaimer when i am trying to be a wise ###. and for the record neither i nor FFE condone or encourage such driving tactics. it was a poor attempt at sarcastic humor. please dont cut off 4 wheelers and always use your signals. thank you and have a great day.

Where are all the academy hopefuls? Is the new Texas DPS law cutting down the number of new students by that much?

On another note, I am in Lynn, MA right now. These streets were not designed for 75 foot long vehicles. I almost took out a light pole making a right turn. Fortunately I stopped before I hit it. I had to back up and make a left turn to get out of the mess. That's why it's always best to get early drop off and pickups - the traffic is not too bad yet. I really want to get out of here and head west. :)

i went to the school in july. graduated. was really stressed. loved the school tho. and yes lisa is just a little bit on the hyper side with hitting the dash, the window and writing on the windshield and making u write 25, 50 or even 100 sentences if you screw up.... but it works. like you said the school was great. the company not great! i was otr with a trainer for the whole month of august. we had layover every week, it was hurry and drive for 2-3 days to get somewhere, then sit for the rest of the week. i spent 4 days by myself in the truck in washington while he visited family. the last week i was there, was spent in the truck at the yard in lancaster, while he went home. it sucked. used my whole advance on just food since i had to order out to eat everyday. so i came home and am now going to work with transport america next week. hopefully my time with them will be better than it was with the FFE training crew. i also suggest getting ur cdl thru the school and moving on to better companies. that is if you are allowed to, we were told about the residency law when we were there. they had until sept to get as many drivers on the road as possible before it changed.

Ouch. You won't make it on the fuel light. If I were you I'd buy enough fuel to get to Dallas, get your delivery done, and then ask questions. But my TCH card works any place that'll accept it, with occasional quibbles about trailer number if I'm pulling a Lisa trailer.

They want me to deliver with half an hour left on my clock. I don't my DM that I will run out of hours available to drive while at the receiver and asked if I could just drop the trailer at the Chicago yard. I was told that I am the only one that make the delivery. So I asked what am I suppose to do if they won't take the load early and I run out of hours to drive. The receiver doesn't have a place I can park of 10 hours. Haven't heard from my DM since I sent that reply.
