Do the trucks that have there marker lights on at night are they the ones idling? I always see some trucks with just the marker lights on and then some have no lights on. Just wondering if there is a reason behind that or what causes it?

VisionLogistics, Arkansas Frost, Busasamurai and 3 others Thank this.

Stopped at the Enroute up in Ontario. Can only pull thru so no trucks could run across in front of me and trucks beside me were lights out and not running. it was so quiet that i actually slept in- never done that before.

I turn on my parking lights unless there are two pull through or straight in spots next to me. I've been home three times and hit twice while my truck was just chilling. I don't know how many wrecks I've witnessed where people just do the stupidest things in parking lots. I've also started parking in the bigger lots towards the back. I don't mind walking and most other driver's in the back 40 seem to at least know how to park without scratching my fenders or yanking off my bumper.
Busasamurai and Raiderfanatic Thank this. -
So general rule of thumb is to park at the back of T/S? Or from what I have read every spot in every truck stop gets filled haha.

Best rule is use your mirrors, take your time, get out and look, and pray that the people who ignore these basic things stay the hell away from your truck wherever it's parked!
Busasamurai and Logan76 Thank this. -
I pull a refer and I try to park away so not to tick off any drivers .. I know its sucks..I have to hear that refer too...
