In the trucking biz you're going to run into rude alot.Does'nt bother me.Far as this receptionist goes, she does'nt have time for alot of questions.Did'nt sound like she was being rude.
Dinomite Thanks this. -
That's rude, sorry. She didn't invite him, she gave him an ultimatum. You mention her having to get up every five minutes to answer about jobs. Well gee whiz, God help her for having to DO HER JOB and field phone calls about employment. The driver was in no way being a pain in the butt. He simply asked if they were hiring and on top of her curt attitude, in case you didn't catch it, she didn't answer his question. That's rude no matter how you slice it. -

It's because they are scared of nothing. NYC isn't bad. Chicago is a lot worse than New York.

Spent summers in Brooklyn as a kid. I remember it well. Was just poking fun. Although, I heard there are problems with some neighborhoods and truck parking where laws are popping up requiring no idling and/or parking which is causing all kinds of problems with drivers out of time. -

I'd run NYC before Atlanta, Dallas ,Chicago, etc. it's a he'll of a lot safer, you can walk the streets of NYC without a problem, for the most part you aren't even looked at twice. It's tight here and there, but NYC is easy to run in. Contrary to popular belief, New Yorkers aren't rude, as a matter of fact, all of us from the NE just come off that way. We are no BS people. That's the way it is. You know where you don't hear of drivers get killed? NYC. People will actually help you, if for anything just to get you the hell out of the way.
