I am currently in the army and stationed in NC. I have T mobile, but the service where I live is spotty. What I would like to know is what carrier has everyone found to have the best service in the eastern states? If you have T mobile how do you like it? Thanks in advance.
Best phone service for the road?

That sucks, because I just switched from them and had to pay $900 for early termination. I think I will stick with T mobile for at least a few months and see how bad it is. I don't plan on using the phone while driving, but it would be nice to have for the hot spot and talk to family during my 10 and 34 if I dont make it home for reset.

A year and a half ago I went to the Straight Talk unlimited Talk, Text, and Web with a smart phone for $45 per month. With Straight Talk you must always find out what carrier the phone that you want is connected to, Straight Talk uses all three carriers, Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T. All cell phones in the USA for the most part are married to one carrier, there are a few exceptions. I use the AT&T carrier, and here again I have no complaints about coverage. You can also buy an unlocked I-Phone from the Apple website and use it on the Straight Talk system with AT&T as the carrier, (GSM), for $45 a month unlimited everything. I think my next phone will be an I Phone with Straight Talk. I am currently using the Nokia E-71 smart phone and have no complaints, my wife has the same phone and no complaints as well. -
Thats good to know. I just bought a Galaxy S3 without a contract from t mobile since I was not willing to sign another contract to upgrade ( still have 1 year contract remaining) and it cost me $600. I know that I can unlock it and use it on att, but I think Verizon is a no go since it is gsm. Also I will be driving flatbed out of PA and from what I understand I will be mostly on the eastern states hauling steel and building materials from PA, VA, NC, OH, IN.....

I have the Samsung Galaxy S3 with T-Mobile and its alright. There some areas that have no service but most of the times I usually get service. But the carriers I would mostly recommend is Verizon and AT&T
