in 1985 or there abouts. I was going across the Cheasapeak bay Bridge Tunnel middle of the night
get pulled over for speeding. Jackie Gleason lookalike gets out of the cruiser with his mirror shades on
    looks at my boston truck
And says you know what the speed limit is here BOY
i says no sir I dont
he says 55 all over the country
needless to say i paid the ticket
of course I gave him my NC license as my mass license was suspended already
and my NH one was just for emergency
    oh good times good times
yes it is my fault we have the laws we do today :biggrin_25510:

    x1Heavy and volvodriver01 Thank this.

Considering you like going faster than 55 I doubt this law was your fault:p

Yeah....You have to either appear and appeal your case or....Pay the fine.....

No different when I ran through Trinidad, CO and made CO richer $49 each trip because their scale was off.....

trinidad tried to tell me i was overweight also. by 1000 pounds.

when i picked up the load. i was 1500 to spare. 50 miles to the north was a surprise weight inspection. no hassles there. 10 miles later i delivered the load. still 1500 pounds under. and i hadn't even fueled.

to the OP. congratulations on your rookie mistake. stay tuned as more will surely follow.

if you pay attention. you will never see a truck in the 3rd lane. and everytime you climb a hill and theres 3 lanes. theres ALWAYS a sign that says truck lane slow moving vehicles ONLY.

so, next time your empty speeding up a hill and a truck pulls in front of you. BITE THE BULLET MAN.

I had to go through a level 1 in California when I forgot to check the trailer I just picked up. Pretty nerve racking to say the least.

How long have you been driving? And you weren't aware California is like the Bermuda triangle for trucks? Weird $h*t happens there. Stay far away

1.5 years...I knew they were bad, which is why I was trying to do everything right. But I guess that wasn't good enough today

The single best way to avoid all violations in california in regards to a cmv is simply to not go there.
I know it sounds like a smart ### response, But it's 100% foolproof idea .
Besides just approaching one of california's super duper scalehouse's brings forth an immediate rise in bloodpressure .
    It's simply not healthy .:biggrin_25525:
