I don't think it's a camera either. I think it's some kind of sensor that can detect if there's freight in a trailer. That's the only way they'd really know if a trailer was empty.

Not to mention the cost of therapy for the poor guy who looked into a driver's cab with a hidden camera and was scarred mentally by what he saw.

 

That's why I thought of the naked dance. Figured it would totally screw up who ever saw it...LOL

 

Oh yeh, when I pulled into the Indy OC today, for some reason, the sign on the speaker pole that reads, Advise of explosive cargo, made me bust out laughing just as the guy asked me if I was loaded and keeping. I wanted to say so badly that I had an explosive load in my cab that was about ready to blow but was afraid I might get in trouble for being a smart ###. Don't know what made me have such crazy thoughts today but maybe it's caus I'm starting my home time tomorrow afternoon and I've been stuck in this truck for 14 days as of tomorrow.

 

I just went through the OC yesterday to get a PM done on a trailer. They put a solar panel on the outside on top front of the trailer, where until now was just a steel plate. I was just told that it was to power the "camera" in the trailer, which is usually only activated for HV or Hazmat loads... They are going to be retro fitting all the trailers to have this (SUPPOSEDLY). Either way, y'all will notice it if you pick up a trailer that has it. Sticks out like a sore thumb. Just thought it was interesting, is all. Don't know how much truth there is to it.

 

I just looked at the pic i have on my phone of this thing and by george it is a camera. If I had a way to get the pic off my phone onto here, I would post it for further review

 

If they say its a camera, its a camera....When I took a real up close look at it, it didn't look like a lens...but you know....

I am always in the trailer helping the unloading process at my stores. Its a good thing I wasn't back there pleasuring myself...

LOL I doubt they take the time to look at it, unless there is a problem that makes them look into it. How are they powered if you're not connected to the tractor? Until this solar panel retro fit?

And I had no idea about the Verizon discount... Wish I had known about that last fall.
