Hi, I've heard the term 5 O'ing @ work from other driver's, (the number 5 and letter O) and I don't want to sound like a idiot and ask another driver what it means so I'd thought ask here? What does 5 O'ing mean? From what I can make out of it, it's the boss of dispatch going out, some where, and let's say "spying" on what your doing or how you are performing @ doing your job.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Harry

5-0 generally means cops, so it makes sense if they're calling your boss spying on you that term. It's not the letter O but the number 0 said as O. The term came from Hawaii 5-0.
-
The only term ever heard is spotting Law Enforcement. " 5 oh on your back door " Etc...
-
Exactly that means cops

so,
we're no longer using the bear in the air OR the bear in hiding no more.
we're now using 5 - ohhhhhhhhh
????????????????
LOL -
No I still say that but what he asked is something I hear from time to time , like watch it by 34 over 4 you got a full grown with a big truck , lol
-
You'll hear both, along with 'county mounty' and 'city kitty'. . .

I don't use terms like that for the brave men who patrol our highways and biways. I just thank the Good Lord everyday for their heroic good deeds. They take our Tax money (average highway patrolmen makes $80,000) and write us tickets for failure to pull over when they are park at the side of the road just to see if we pull over in heavy traffic, putting lots of folks in danger and possibly costing us our jobs. That has to be a thankless way to make a living.
And by the way, every other television show on the air is about cops. What do we get? Some guy driving around with a monkey and folks driving over frozen oceans? -
I always thought it meant spying on and snitching on,
oh well........ -
Is that a female city cop?
