Some do but most can't. Just depends on when your PU and delivery times are.

Big cities and their truck stops usually are a nightmare; if you want to find a spot in one get there early, especially the big chain ones (pilot, TA, Love's, Flying J) because company drivers get showers off of their reward cards for fueling at them. Rest areas are good up until about 2000 to 2100, then they start getting crowded; I'm guessing that might be because maybe some drivers use it as a last resort after not getting their preferred truck stop spot, I know that's what I've done, although sometimes I prefer them for their quietness. I've noticed that I35 rest areas are real tough a lot earlier though (1700ish). The Northeast is the trucker's biggest foe, just the same with I95, it's as if all their truck stops are solely in the big city areas ... that or just the northeast and everything along I95 is just one huge big city :/ The southeast for the most part is not bad ... once you head west of the mississippi it's a different world, but it also has it's exceptions. It's an art to itself. Best of luck

PS: My personal disfavorites - Texarkana, Port Wentworth, Baldwin (Jacksonville), Bordentown, West Memphis & Memphis (though I've always found a spot there just dislike the shadiness that goes on there), East St. Louis, Dallas, Laredo, Gary, Ontario (LA) [though there is a mall walking distance from the TS], El Paso and Mifflinville (but not because it's bad I just had a bad experience there once) ... curses to you mifflinville ten thousand times

TA truck stop it now has VIP reserved parking at some of the more busy truck stop. For about $10 you call 24 hours in advance and save a parking spot

If the economy ever gets going again, it will be mission impossible! I think the lousy economy is the only reason we are able to find the spots we can now.

It will be getting to know where you run and PLANNING ! if you run right up to your 11 then try looking for a spot your in trouble if you plan ahead and figure driving time close to accurate you can usually find a place and not have to panic. just because the law says you can run 11 doesn't mean you have to. that's where some newbies mess up they 10.5 and then look for ts and realise there 200 mile3s from the next one.

Most drivers out there are solar powered! When the sun goes down the truck stops moving... So in the winter time a lot of drivers have short days because they just can't move after the sun goes down. Some special drivers have good batteries so they charge up while they sleep during the day and they run all night.
