how did u mount your amp

I cut small pieces of sheet medal and attached them to the amp and use the existing metal sticking out to attach to the dash side

 

Unless the radio is in a hole most use two strips of Velcro and two large zip ties to mount it to the radio, under or over depending upon whether the radio is hanging in a bracket or on the dash. The big ties support the weight and the Velcro keeps it from sliding around. The fins are kept open to the air so in some cases the amp is upside down. Not too bad especially if the front face is symmetrical so that it can be turned over as in the 225 Palomar. Usually a couple wires to switches inside need to be lengthened so it will turn over and bolt back in. This way the fins get the air but the writing on the switches is right side up. Fairly easy work. Normally when I put these together I did not use a 3 foot jumper, I made a custom jumper which just fits making a nice U from radio to amplifier.

 

What kind of amp?

Some amps have flanges you can drill holes in if needed, others have a U bracket they set in.

 

I have the ms 500 just do what I did. If yours has a fan just bend the metal brackets you make from tin to allow clearance

Great bracket; looks really skookum! It looks stout enough that, if there were enough room above it, and the ears were longer, a guy could mount quite a stack of radios in it.
If I had any sense of being able to work with metal (like even how to bend stock that thick), I like to think that's what I'd have in my van. Nice job.

When I ran one I didn't mount it anywhere....It was a X Force 400HD that sat on the floor behind the drivers seat.
I ran 4 gauge direct off the batteries up thru a grommet in the floor of the closet of a 379 Pete..
I also used quick disconnects so I could pull it out when I left the truck at the yard....I bought everything I needed for that setup from Rolling Radios in Richmond, VA..
