Schneider also runs lots of regional and dedicated routes, depending on your location.
No comment on anything else as I'm just a 'wannabe' w/ no experience, just lots of research.
Goodluck!
Got a snag looking for my first driving job.

From what I've read, this company will hire you; it's a coast to coast company.

They only go back 10 yrs unless your applying for a hazmat endorsment or TWIC.

Yep, Schneider seems more concerned about things that might actually be a problem, rather than minor BS things that occurred during the last millennium. They're also self insured, so that helps too. My recruiter almost sounded like she was snickering because I was being so honest about dumb stuff .. Almost like they had to ask.

No we are not leading him the wrong way ,read what he is asking us , he was a kid minor possession fine , and a non DOT drug screen so we have no clue what that was for but if its a state thing where for probation he failed a piss test then its in no way gonna be on a employers radar , they only look at your CDL History of pre employ and ransoms , I ran a big dispatch team , in Trans Dept of local huge Grocery Haulers , that's what they look to , unless they require more than ten years I would not give up that info only give them exactly what they ask for , you do not ever divulge information that they don't need to know. You remember it's a job , the more the see they know about you us , then some bozo will make it mandatory at some point to list your whole life , dude don't worry , be confident it's a job there is more of them , remember there is a shortage of Drivers , don't forget that , where a company wants experience , new guys are in demand !

LOL @ shortage of drivers? There is no shortage, and new guys are only in demand because they are paid at the bottom of the pay scale.

Thanks again everybody. Schneider had offered me a job but I turned it down for this other one. I kinda jerked em the way I did it (my own fault and stupidity) but I thought a job offer and a start date meant it was a done deal. I will give them a call back this week I just wanted to try to find something else were I haddent made a fool of myself. Got some more apps out and supposed to make some callbacks Monday so we will see what happens. As far as being on the bottom of the pay scale, I understand as a new guy I got much to learn and dues to pay. Right now Im off the pay scale, and thats not ok!

My Post:
Is there really a shortage of truck drivers with all the unemployment there in the U.S.A.??
I ask only because I have come across truck drivers with CLEAN DRIVING RECORDS, CLEAN PHYSICALS, & NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS IN THEIR SYSTEMS, who are having a hard time find a job driving over the road, (OTR).
Please advise on this.
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.! -

What there is a shortage of is decent companies. I guess they just refuse to work for scraps, but since the newbies will. They will continue to look. Also maybe they are job hoppers. Once upon a time it was no problem. These days people are wanting those who have a stable work history. Older drivers don't want the E logs and Fuel routing that lots of companies are going to. So they look for other employment.
